How it works
- Find your MP. WriteToThem asks for your postcode and shows who represents you.
- Write in your own words. Copied letters are often counted as one campaign. Your own words, and why it matters to you, carry more weight.
- Ask for one thing. For example, ask your MP to put a written question to the minister.
- Keep it polite and short. Say what you've read, what you'd like to happen, and ask for a reply.

Explore the detail
- An MP can table a written question to a minister. It usually reads: "To ask the Secretary of State for [department], whether [the provision] will be brought into force, and if so when."
- Written answers are published by Parliament, so everyone can read the reply.
- WriteToThem is run by mySociety, a charity. We don't see your letter or your details.
